Every drop of Wendell Estate Honey is harvested from our own bees and packaged only fresh on our farm by us, the beekeepers. Because our honey is never heated nor gets stored or transported in bulk drums, all of the healthy enzymes remain intact. Because the only “processing” we do is spinning the honey from the honeycomb and straining out larger pieces of wax, all the natural bee pollen and propolis remain in the honey. This is the honey the bees eat and this is the honey the beekeeper eats and we’d love to share it with you. We’re  honoured that our passion for honey perfection has been recognized by prestigious international awards: the gold medal for world’s best soft-set (creamed) honey at the 2019 World Beekeeping Awards, followed by a second win at the 2023 WBA. I cannot praise Wendell Estate Honey enough. The overall experience of discovering, tasting, ordering on their site, then getting my package (in the USA) was simply wonderful. First, and most importantly, the quality and taste. Nothing I’ve had this side of Asia (have had great white honey from Kirgizstan) compares to their white honey. Honey flavors vary depending on the flower; but almost all “regular” honey has a slight to sharp tinge to the taste (which is fine but usually means it needs to be consumed with something else like toast, pancakes, tea, etc. except by hard core honey lovers). Many brands offer "white" honey that is actually regular honey that has been "creamed," i.e., whipped until it has an off-white color and thick texture, then frozen. This is fine if you want to retain the pure honey flavor. But Wendell's white honey is something far superior (at least in my opinion). It has the perfect balance of sweetness, thick texture, and honey's goodness. I keep saying “I can’t believe it’s not white chocolate” because that is the closest, comparable flavor I can think of to describe it. (continued next)

(continued from previous) In fact, I have been trying to quit sugary products; and for the past couple of months Wendell’s white honey is what I’ve been using to satisfy the craving. The texture is also brilliant. It is neither fluid like all regular honey nor is it a hardened block. That too gives the sensation that it’s like eating organic, healthy candy. Second, the process of ordering was far easier and more efficient than I expected. I usually got the smaller 340-gram jars from local organic food shops; but these finished too quickly so I deduced that there should be larger, more cost efficient, options. Went to their website and found the 1 kg jars which were further reduced in cost when I bought 2 or more. I was hesitant, though, as I am not comfortable putting my credit card details on online stores (beyond the larger retail ones that have proven relatively reliable). My concerns proved completely unfounded. Everything went extremely well; and I received my two jars well within the timeline that was indicated on the job order. I’m definitely hooked and probably will remain so for life.

Buy this honey. It is far the best honey I've ever tasted (and I'm very picky). The texture is creamy, smooth perfection and the taste is light and delicious . To my taste, it is very subtly floral and perfect. It's not too sweet and it doesn't spike my blood sugar so I feel good after eating it. It is expensive, and I believe it is 100% worth it. I first came across Wendell Estate Honey at Erewhon in LA and bought a small jar. Almost immediately after tasting, I ordered a 1K jar from the website. I'm 1/2 through my second 1K jar and I can't imagine ever being without this honey! Shipping is fast and the honey packed lovingly and arrives in great condition. Thank you so much for making such beautiful honey!

Dear bees, flowers and workers, I never had such a good honey ever in my life! To think of how much money I've wasted getting it from different farmers' markets with fancy labels and not as smooth, tastefully creamy texture like your honey. I like to make this honey bread and peanut butter balls that use honey, and I can tell you I can taste the difference with this honey; it's bliss. I also enjoy it in my coffee or tea. This is the best honey in the world!!! I try to keep some on hand, but whenever I share it with family and friends, they want my jar. I’m so glad to learn it will be sold in the US. But I would still order it even if it was made on the moon!!! You have to try it! You will fall in love!!!

How to Keep Your Soft-Set Raw Honey Fresh and Delicious

Wendell Estate Honey is a completely raw, unprocessed, living food. Like any fresh food, raw honey requires appropriate storage to maintain its best quality for as long as possible.

We recommend that you keep an amount of honey that you will use within 2-3 months at room temperature so that the honey is soft and spreadable. Raw honey that you expect to keep for more than 2-3 months should be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator (good), or freezer (best).

Is your Wendell Estate honey too firm? You can soften it by putting it in a warm (~ 30°C) water bath for about 30-60 minutes or you can use a spoon or butter knife to stir it for a moment (click here for short video demonstration)
